-- provides information, resources and news for anyone interested in green and healthy schools. 

Wisconsin PK-12 Schools (public/charter, private/independent) and Early Learning Centers who provide 3-, 4-, or 5-year-old kindergarten can use this website to apply for Green & Healthy Schools recognition by documenting achievement in nine focus areasGreen & Healthy Schools Wisconsin is administered through a partnership between the Department of Natural Resources, the Department of Public Instruction and the Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education.

​U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools and District Sustainability Awards: 
The Green & Healthy Schools application is also used for schools, districts, and early learning centers interested in nomination for U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools recognition. School districts are not eligible for Green & Healthy Schools recognition. Deadlines: There is no deadline for Green & Healthy Schools Wisconsin recognition. Applicants interested in U.S. Department of Education recognition applicants must submit the application by December 1 of each year.

Homeschooling? Green & Healthy Schools Wisconsin participation is not currently available for homeschooling families and groups.
